Idaho - Saturday, 19th

Saturday morning started out with Josh and Dallin battling it out on the basketball court.

On the way to meet up with Josh, Dallin informed us he was wearing his Captain America socks--which would give him a definite advantage.

Imagine his surprise when Josh took off his shirt to reveal his Captain America jersey!  This was definitely going to be a tough match!

 The photo bomber strikes again!

The battle!

Dallin kept shooting beyond the half court line.  Josh would let him, saying the laws of averages dictated he couldn't keep making it.  Dallin was six for six behind the line.

It was a battle the entire time!  But Ty, I figured you'd want to know what happened.
Game One:  Dallin won 11-9.
Game Two:  Josh won 12-10.
Game Three:  Dallin won 13-11.

Lunch at the Taco Bus.

Then we were off to Jayna's camp!

We got to see Jayna's at work!

Dad enjoyed "soaking up the sun."

Josh and Dallin kept themselves entertained while waiting for their turn on the giant swing.  Shortest tug-a-war ever!

Elizabeth's excited--but a little nervous!

Dallin's turn!

Dad's turn!

We got a picture all together!
Then Josh had to leave early to go to work.

Elizabeth and Dallin enjoyed the giant slip-n-slide.
Since it was so hot outside, they said it felt wonderful!

Elizabeth and I enjoyed an otter pop on a porch swing while waiting for Jayna before heading back to Rexburg.

Basin Burgers--at a gas station in Driggs.

Michelle and Ty, they have Italian ice and custard in Rexburg--
just like Rita's in D.C.!  It was sooooo good!

Relaxing at the pool and hot tub at the hotel.  And yes, that is Caleb Trujillo with us!  His wife's family is staying at the same hotel as us!  They are moving from Washington D.C. to Washington State.

Dallin and Elizabeth spent a lot of time playing the toothpick game. They look for the toothpick in the pool.  First one to see it and jump in and grab it wins!

After the pool, we played Rummikub in the hotel lobby.  As usual, Elizbeth won.  Ty, I don't think you are going to be able to beat her . . . just sayin.

  1. Kathy, I just love these updates. I love your conversation with Ty and Michelle throughout them.

Captain America is pretty powerful. It looks like you need him in your legs more than covering your back. I don't get the scoring. Is there a reason they play to 11 then 12 then 13?

So glad Jayna has had such a great job. She looks so vivacious and healthy.

It's fun to see Josh and Elizabeth, too.

Thinking of you all making a lot of fun . . .

  2. Jane, I'm not sure, but I think the scoring on the games was like that because they may have played that you have to win by two.

I am dying over here not being there. Looks like y'all are having SO much fun! It makes me so excited for getting to Colorado in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS!!!
