The "Colossal" C Date

This was the C date of all C dates.  We couldn't fit everything in in one day--so we extended it to two!

We decided to ask another "couple" to join us for our C date.
Jayna and Joseph got to be the lucky ones! :)

It started with a tour of "campus."

Then we went to get Jayna's "car" registered in Idaho.
She "cried" when she had to give up her "Colorado" plates.

So Joseph "consoled" her.

Then we went to check out the "construction" on our home!

Is the master shower big enough for two people?!
(Jayna didn't appreciate the question . . . at all.)

However, she did stake out and "claim" her own room!

Then we went to Rigby for a "contest."  Jayna and Joseph have been trying different french fries to determine which ones are the best.  We thought they should try the fries at Bambinos.  They agreed--they are some of the best!

Then we headed to the "Caramel Tree" for some treats!

Then we came back to the house to get "comfy" and "cuddle" on the "couch" for our own little "cinema."

We started with some episodes of "Carol Burnett."
But ended up watching a "cross country" movie--McFarland USA.

We enjoyed some "chips" with dip, "candy," and "chocolate."

Since Mom, Dad, and Jayna fell asleep during the movie, we saved our other C activities for the next day--when another "couple" could join us.

Josh and Elizabeth came for the day.
We enjoyed more "chips," "chicken" wings, "cookies," and "chocolate covered cinnamon" bears.

And we played "cards."
We taught Joseph how to play "Oh heck!"

Jayna took first . . . Joseph took last.
But he made an awesome comeback in the second game!
(Although he threw Mom under the bus.  Just sayin.)

Mom and Dad wore their Broncos jerseys today.
Go "Colorado" Broncos!

Josh and Elizabeth wanted to check out the house, too.

Then we went to The Hickory for a "celebration!"
We were celebrating that Dad got his stock payout from "Challenger."

"Cheers!"

We came back to the house to watch some "college" basketball while Jayna and Joseph went to a wedding reception for one of his friends.  Then Josh and Elizabeth had to head home.

To finish the night we ate "corn" that was popped while watching the movie, Home.

Jayna and Joseph went to "church" with us on Sunday and enjoyed a yummy dinner before heading home.

It was wonderful having Jayna and Joseph up for the weekend.
And we loved having Josh and Elizabeth come up for the day.
We only wish the Paynes could have been with us!
I'm sure they would have added much "comedy" to our weekend!

The B Date . . . and More!

I haven't posted in a while.  With just Dad and I, we haven't taken many pictures . . . and I guess we're getting a little boring!

But our house is coming along, and we're getting excited!

The fireplace in the family room.

I think this is going to be my favorite part of the house--the bump out for the dining room.  There are windows all around and beautiful trees out back!

Last Monday, because Dad had the day off, we decided to try cross country skiing for the first time--and loved it!  We went skiing on the golf course by our house.

Because it was snowing, and Dad was sweating, his face was covered with ice by the time we got done!

That evening we got to go see Ty's cousin, Haley, and Ryan and Cooper, and their adorable new baby, Sayer.  They are such a cute little family!

Dad and I started our alphabet dating again--Idaho style!

We don't have any pictures of our A date.  But last week we went with an "Associate" of Dad's, and his wife, to "Applebees."

I was in charge of our B date.
We went down to Rigby and ate at "Bambinos."  Yum!  While we ate our dinner, we made a "Bucket" list.  Now we have lots of fun things to do!

Then we went to the Madison/Rigby "Boys" "Basketball" game.  It was packed!  It was fun to be back in a high school gym watching the sport we love.  It made Dad want to coach again.

After the game we went to Dairy Queen for a "Blizzard."  Yum again.

We had a "blast!"

The next night we went to watch the BYU International Folk Dancers.  On the way there, Dad said, "I bet all the young couples at this event are dating.  Once young couples are married, there is no reason for the men to go."  Pa, ha!  He was right!  We did ring checks with the couples all around us. For every married couple, there were at least 20 couples that were not!  But Dad was a good sport about going--and it was fun!

Welp, that's our week.  Thanks to Josh and Elizabeth for the self stick so we could take all these pictures!

Love you all!

A Day in the Life

A Day in the Life of the Pages in 2016!
The tradition continues!
Saturday, January 16th

Brian:  Taking a look at the progress on our home.  This will be our fireplace!

Kathy:  Looking for light fixtures.  What do you think of this one to go over our dining room table?!

Ty:  I spent a good chunk of the day doing some financial planning.

Michelle:  18.5 hours.  166 miles each way.  Stake Youth Conference.  Memphis temple.  A very surprise encounter in the temple with a family from my mission.  Speakers.  Games.  A nap (for me) in the mother's lounge.  Service projects.  Food.  Testimonies.  Sonic shakes on the way home.  Great day.  I'm tired.

Afton:  I begged my Dad to let me take Kathryn down the slide at Chic-Fil-A.  Eliza didn't want to be left out.

Eliza, or Baby Spider, or was it Daisy?  Oh yeah, Robin Hood watching Brother Bear.

Kathryn:  I spent most of my day in the closet.  A 4 hour nap and a 2 hour nap!  And I had to be woken up both times!

Josh:  Acting out charades with Mo and Layton.

Elizabeth:  Playing charades with friends.  Of course the pregnant ladies had to act out cartwheels and the splits.  We dominated!

Jayna:  I went to a wedding reception for one of Joseph's friends.  These are some of the people he went to China with.

Dallin:  Baptizing with Elder Rodriguez.
