A Day in the Life

A Day in the Life of the Pages

Brian:  Friday Family Fun Night at Dairy Queen!

Kathy:  We visited and fed the crazy ducks today!

Ty:  Calvin is a great workout buddy.

Michelle:  Looked through some old photos and reminisced about that one time Mom didn’t let me choose my own outfit for my yearly portrait studio visit. (To be fair, one year I did choose a John Elway jersey.) Mom promised me I’d thank her one day for making me wear this one. So here it is...
Thank you Mom. This outfit, shoulder pads and all, is 90’s gold. Not pictured: the matching shorts.

Afton:  I set a goal to run a non-stop mile by the end of the year, and I got really close on my first try.

Eliza:  If Afton can run a mile with Mom, so can I.  I just probably shouldn't do it right after dinner next time.

Kathryn:  I finished my handwriting book and Mom had no idea.

Calvin:  I had my first play date just for me today.

Josh:  Rolling my shirts after a long day at OTS.

Elizabeth:  I love playing airplane because I get to lay down.

Layla:  I love when Lyla comes over to play!

Ellie:  Even though it's 35* outside, I still love going down slides!

Joseph:  This is our first purchase of the many big purchases in preparation for the house and babies.

Jayna:  Finally bedtime!  I don't sleep great these days, but I'm probably sleeping much better than I will be in a couple months--so I'm trying to enjoy it while I can.

Dallin:  Hanging out with Headward and his eye for a fun Friday night.

Courtney:  Just another day of people asking where the toilet paper is, and them being confused when I say it's sold out.

A Day in the Life

A Day in the Life of the Pages

Tuesday, October 20th, 2020

Brian:  Just working at home on my birthday!

Kathy:  Enjoying some playtime and snuggles from Layla and Ellie!

Ty:  Current COVID restrictions in Poland require mask wear nearly everywhere outside, even while exercising.  Good thing I bought a pack of ten masks to bring with me.

Michelle:  Calvin doesn't nap on purpose.  But I'll take this when I can.

Afton:  Journal entry for school on Grandpa Brian's birthday.

Eliza:  Journal entry for school on Grandpa Brian's birthday.

Kathryn:  Journal Entry - "He sticks french fries up his nose.  When Grandpa Brian comes home from work, guinea pigs come chasing him.  He think that they love him."

Calvin:  Pumpkin chocolate chip waffles.

Josh:  This is my picture at the airport on the 19th--since my phone was taken away on the 20th at officer training in Alabama.

Elizabeth:  Playing on the trampoline in our winter coats!

Layla:  Enjoying the Idaho sunset!

Ellie:  Playing with my new princess toys in the sand!

Joseph:  After work, we've been spending a good amount of time like this.  Currently we're making our way through King of Queens.

Jayna:  I'm trying to practice the piano more consistently.

Dallin:  Tuesday night date night--cause Courtney works weekends!  We tried a taco food truck.

Courtney:  I love family snuggles and Hocus Pocus!

A Day in the Life

A Day in the Life of the Pages

Brian:  Having fun sharing ice cream with one of my ministering families in our "ice cream car."

Kathy:  Love sharing ice cream with my good friend, Carol, who is 89 years old!

Ty:  I enjoyed helping Eliza assemble and play with her new birthday robots this morning.

Michelle:  They call me Coach Payne.

Afton:  I love FaceTiming my curler grandma.

Eliza:  I had a great birthday yesterday!

Kathryn:  I'm getting really good at reading and writing. (Happy birthday presents)

Calvin:  "This is a green Corona Virus and a blue Corona Virus and a blue Corona Virus and a blue Corona Virus!"

Josh:  Wrestling and playing with Ellie after her nap.

Elizabeth:  I love it when Ellie wakes up from her nap happy!

Layla:  It's rare now, but sometimes I take a nap during quiet time and nobody can wake me up.  So Mom just joins me instead.

Ellie:  When you climb up but realize you don't know how to climb down.

Joseph:  Jayna can't reach her toes to paint her nails anymore, so I offered to do it for her.

Jayna:  I still have over three months to go, but I'm already feeling ginormous.

Dallin:  Salmon Sunday!  I am starting to enjoy salmon now!

Courtney:  I hope I still like shopping at Costco even after working here!

A Day in the Life

A Day in the Life of the Pages
Thursday, August 20th, 2020

Brian:  With my dad and boys before my mom's funeral.

Kathy:  With the family at Gladys' grave site.

Ty:  We have to check on Calvin nightly now to make sure he doesn't spend the night on the floor with the light on.  At least he fell asleep 12 inches from the door instead of right in front of it today.

Michelle:  We've been slowly introducing different aspects of homeschool over the last couple weeks.  Today we did our second science lesson about the different states of water.

Afton:  Waiting to see if my building was strong enough.

Eliza:  I built upon a sure foundation. (Helaman 5:12)

Kathryn: Tonight we learned about building on the solid foundation of Christ so that Satan's whirlwinds (or blowdryers) can't knock us down.  (Helaman 5:12)

Calvin:  I tried on my new wetsuit today.  My parents got it so maybe I won't hate the water as much on our upcoming trip since I won't be as cold.  But I think it's a great fashion statement.  I wore it all day with a few brief breaks to air out.

Josh:  I played a piano solo for the closing song at Grandma Gladys' funeral today.  God Be With You Til We Meet Again.

Elizabeth:  Layla and I had a Chick Fil A picnic in the back of the car since there is too much smoke to sit outside.

Layla:  Mom and I went shopping today and I got a new dress.

Ellie:  I love bedtime stories with Grandpa!

Joseph:  Enjoying lunch with family at Riverton Park after Gladys' funeral.

Jayna:  Dallin was nice enough to give me a little shoulder massage after dedicating Grandma's grave.

Dallin:  I was a pallbearer at Grandma's funeral.

Courtney:  Marx and I are going camping!  Wish us luck!
