We Gather Together

On the Monday before Thanksgiving, Josh and Elizabeth came up to Rexburg and attended Dad's class.  Then we met Allan and Becky at Taco Bell.  Allan is showing Dad and Josh how to download the Taco Bell App so we can get 50% off!

Tuesday was a special day--we learned Josh and Elizabeth are going to have a girl!!!

Wednesday we traveled to Utah.  That afternoon we saw the last Hunger Games movie with Josh, Elizabeth, Jayna, Joseph, and Marissa.  Then we went out to eat at JCWs.  Hard to believe--but I didn't get any pictures.  I'm slipping.

Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, we went to Roger and Jeannette's.  They were excellent hosts and we had a wonderful time!  Jeannette had made her girls, Megan and Lauren, aprons.  Thanksgiving on the front . . .

. . . Christmas on the back!

While we were waiting for the turkey to finish cooking, we learned some Thanksgiving trivia.  Did you know that cranberries are ready to harvest when they bounce 4 inches off the ground?

Grant and Gladys arrived!

It's exhausting waiting for dinner to start!

Post Thanksgiving feast, pre-pie, Bingo--complete with prizes!

Elizabeth won and chose the mystery box--which held two binkies!

Gladys won snowmen ears!

Marissa won the coveted Star Wars cup!

Listening to Josh play the piano.

After a wonderful time at Jeannette's we headed back to Grandma and Grandpa Applegate's for more pie and to watch The Santa Clause movie!

Jayna barely managed to survive pillow fights with Josh . . . and Joseph . . . and Marissa.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are so grateful for all our many blessings!
We love and missed Ty, Michelle, Afton, Eliza, Kathryn, and Dallin.

Friday we did minimal shopping.  We helped get out Christmas decorations at Grandma's . . . and managed to sneak in a game of Rummikub, with Josh as the winner.

That afternoon we went to see baby Elizabeth at Jenni's house.  Grandma had us take over her Christmas stocking.  Our Elizabeth was sad the stocking didn't belong to her.

Josh is seeing how it feels to hold a baby GIRL!

Friday evening we went to Temple Square to see the lights.  It was cra cra--there were SO many people there.  While we were waiting for Josh and Elizabeth to get there, we ran into the Calls!

Brian, Kevin, Nicolette, Jayna, Cecilia, and Kathy

Marissa, Joseph, Jayna, Brian, Josh, and Elizabeth

Singing "Hark, The Herald Angels Sing"--Charlie Brown style.

It was so beautiful--but soooo cold outside!
Joseph, Jayna, Marissa

Saturday morning we got to go back to Jeannette's for a brunch with her family, Grant and Gladys, Jeff and Karla, and Trent, Alisa, Lucy, Archie, and Henry.  Jayna got to stop by for a little bit, too.

Then we enjoyed a pizza party while we watched the BYU football game back at Grandma and Grandpa Applegate's.  Josh and Elizabeth left during the game to head back to Pocatello.  And we have enjoyed a nice quiet evening, watching football and basketball.

What a wonderful week this has been!

A Day in the Life

A Day in the Life of the Page Family
Sunday, November 15th, 2015

Brian:  I just got home from my first home teaching visit in Idaho.

Kathy:  Planning Thanksgiving with Aunt Jeannette.

Ty:  When we realized it was the 15th, we took almost all of our pictures in under 15 seconds.

Michelle:  Quite possibly the least flattering picture that has ever been taken of me.

Afton: If you see four legs, you know I'm in there somewhere.

Eliza:  I eat cheese like candy bars.

Kathryn: I have yet to find a limit on what my sisters will do to make me laugh.

Josh:  Studying at our new desk.

Elizabeth:  After a rough day, I guess all the baby really wanted was a Whopper!

Jayna:  Joseph and I went on a walk and enjoyed the nice weather at the park.

Dallin:  World Cup.  I played goalie.

We Love Family Visitors!

Dustin was here in Rexburg doing some work for BYU-I the first week in November.  So on Tuesday evening we got to go out to dinner with him and one of his co-workers.

Krissy came up for a short visit on the following Friday afternoon!

On Saturday we went to look at our lot.  They had dug the foundation a lot deeper.

The next week I picked out the granite for our kitchen.  Here it is!

On Friday we went to take a look at our lot again.
The foundation walls are in!

Saturday afternoon we went down to Pocatello.
We made a trip to Costco with Josh and Elizabeth, went out to dinner, then headed back to their apartment to watch the third Hunger Games.  (It's been awhile, but the photo bomber is back.)

We Still Love It Here!

We enjoyed having Sam Leishman, and her roommate, Addi, over for dinner one night.

Wednesday evening Dad and I helped clean the temple from 8:30 to about 11:15 p.m.  We actually ended up helping with the laundry.

On Thursday, October 29th, we decided to go take pictures of the markers they had placed on our lot, only to discover they had started digging the foundation!

By Saturday evening, it was all done!

Friday evening we headed down to Pocatello to spend the evening with Josh and Elizabeth.  We got hamburgers and fries at Five Guys for dinner.  And then we watched the second Hunger Games movie.

For Dad's birthday, Josh and Elizabeth gave him Josh's graduation poster--along with pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and ice cream.  Yum!

We didn't know if we would get any Trick or Treaters at our apartment this year, but we hadn't purchased any candy.  So we decided not to take any chances and headed down to Rigby on Halloween evening to do some exploring.  We ended up at a small restaurant called Bambinos.  They make a scone-like pizza pocket called a bambino.  Great find--they were yummy!

But here's some cute Trick or Treaters!
It's the Sesame Street gang!

Sunday evening we had Lauren, Allan, and Becky over for dinner.
It was a lot of fun catching up with them!
