Sunday, May 25th, 2025

Brian:  I had a wonderful time in St. George with family!

Kathy:  I loved visiting Dad's grave with family.

Ty:  I had fun running the Springfest 5K yesterday.

These girls both got great times, too!

Michelle:  Me and the 5K walkers.

Eliza due to pneumonia recovery.

Calvin due to being thrilled someone else wasn't running.

Afton:  Look!  A cousin!  A cousin!

Eliza:  Tell me not to run, and it suddenly becomes much more appealing.

Mom gave in and let me run some.

Kathryn:  I absolutely loved performing in the Alice in Wonderland ballet.

Calvin:  My "urban gymnastics" class got to show off some of our skills

on the Springfest stage yesterday.

Elizabeth:  Trying to convince Cooper not to escape.

Layla:  Selfie with my dad during church

(seconds after Grandma sent a reminder to take 25th pictures).

Ellie:  I had an excellent time playing outside with Layla this afternoon.

Lots of painting and dancing.

Carter:  I was absolutely thrilled to wear beanies with my dad today.

Cooper:  I spent an entire hour chasing this bunny.

This is the closest I got on my own.

Bunnies are fast.

Joseph:  After a long day at the pool yesterday, 

Sunday has been perfect for snuggles with my little darling.

Jayna:  We went to the Applegate Easter Egg Hunt today!

William:  I found my egg!

Nora:  I love Grandma Apple!

TJ:  I love finding leftovers on the floor after meals.

Dallin:  Making a classic, but added extra chicken and even zucchini.

Courtney:  Backyard wrestling after getting home from my weekend trip!

Benson:  "Dad, I want you to take a picture of me!"

Friday, April 25th, 2025

Brian:  My new work place and work clothes for the next five months.

 

Kathy:  I just beat Dad at Rummikub!

Ty:  We finally got a fish tank.

Because it has a fish in it now.

One little guppy.

Michelle:  My entire week from Tuesday night on was consumed with fighting a fruit fly invasion.  We thought it was just us, but it has spread to everyone we know east and south of town.  No one here has ever seen anything like it.

Afton:  Eliza and I had our second swim meet,

and we both beat all of our previous times.

I even beat one by 18 seconds!

Eliza:  I really enjoyed being a part of Afton's birthday party.  

We got Pop Stop drinks, ate pizza, watched the Princess Bride, and painted nails.

Kathryn:  If I don't have to be actively involved in something else at the moment,

you'll usually find me with my nose in a Keeper of the Lost Cities book.

Calvin:  My parents finally got me to start reading Harry Potter by myself on the drive to my sisters' swim meet.  When we arrived, my parents didn't let me read while walking through the parking lot.  But the moment they stopped to talk to someone, I seized my opportunity to plop down and keep reading.

Josh:  I sat down for two seconds and almost fell asleep.

Elizabeth:  My lap is getting harder to share as the twins get bigger!

Layla:  I climb a tree almost every day.

Ellie:  Family dance party!

Carter:  Playing chase with Dad and Cooper.

Cooper:  I love giving Carter hugs!

Joseph:  Cutting down some beadboard to hang in TJ's room.

Jayna:  I have enjoyed crocheting the last couple months.

I finally finished my first big project--a blanket for Nora!

William:  I love having a brother!

Nora:  I earned a Play Doh ice cream maker for not having any accidents for 10 days.  

At least my mom thought it was an ice cream maker.  

Turns out it's a coffee maker.  Whoops!

TJ:  Downward facing dog.

Dallin:  We have to enter the shark to get into Souvenir City!

Courtney:  Snuggles on the beach.

Benson:  Night 1 of crab hunting I asked to be held the whole time.

Night 2 I was chasing them all around!

These are the biggest ones we caught.

Sarah Jane:  I grew to love sand throughout the week.

But it doesn't taste good!

Tuesday, March 25th, 2025

Brian:  Tuesday night recommend interviews.

Kathy:  Beautiful weather!

I just had to get out and clean up our strawberry patch!

Ty:  Twelve hours at home this week, and fitting in priorities--

teaching Calvin some wrestling moves.

Michelle:  Go go gadget knee!

Afton:  Seventh grade choir concert.

Can you spot me?

Eliza:  Afton and I had our first swim meet this weekend.

Kathryn:  Got a little treat at Pop Stop named "Unicorn Tail."

Calvin:  I am starting a new (aka previously non-existent)

morning routine, and so far I love it!

Josh:  Drinking my brotein to end the day.

Elizabeth:  Another Tuesday HF class!

Layla:  I just want to snuggle Mom after a hard day.

Ellie:  If you cause problems in our family

you get to clean stuff.

Carter:  Help!  I can't get down!

Cooper:  I was trying to help Mom bring the groceries in from the porch.

Joseph:  I love playing with my little buddy.

Jayna:  Look at these cute bunnies I made at craft night last night!

William:  I'm working hard to keep our house safe.

Nora:  I've been a bit of a Mama's girl lately.

TJ:  I'm working real hard to learn how to crawl!

Dallin:  Benson's trying his first bike with pedals--

took the opportunity for a classic Dad moment.

Courtney:  Benson drew me today.

Benson:  Suckers and stickers after speech therapy!

We're reaping the rewards!

Sarah Jane:  It's easy to relax at Sam's Club with a food court pretzel.
